Surfers Healing 2010 Update

Today we met with the head of recreation in Narragansett and he told us what great feedback he has received regarding the 2009 surf. We are already discussing plans for next year and it looks like we will be in the same area...South Lot..... but we will be closer to the South Pavilion (restrooms, picnic tables, wheelchair ramp to the Pavilion, etc).

As 2009 winds down we will take a short break from fund raising but rest assured we will be back on track early in 2010 with more plans to raise the funds necessary to make this an annual event.

We are meeting with the Narragansett town officials next week to begin making plans for next year's surf.
This means that we will be fundraising year-round.

A FABULOUS DAY!!!

What a day!!!!!!!!

What an unbelievable day!

Over 60 children surfed today at Narragansett Town Beach.
The weather was spectacular! The water not TOO cold and very calm.

A million thanks to Surfers Healing for coming to RI and bringing this wonderful camp to the children of New England!!!!!!!!!!

May 17th Bake Sale...A HUGE Success!!!

Informational Table at RI Imagine Walk 4/26/09

Regarding Surfer's Healing coming to Narragansett RI...there will be an informational table set up at the Autism Project of RI's annual Imagine Walk on Sunday, April 26,2009 at Goddard Park in Warwick, RI. Volunteers will be available to provide information on Surfer's Healing, how to sign up, what the camp provides, etc. Please stop by to receive more news on this exciting event coming to Narragansett on Sept. 19, 2009.

Surfers Healing Camp - A Free Day Camp for children with Autism will be coming to RI in Sept 2009. Efforts are underway right now to raise funds for this wonderful camp.
